To pink or not to pink? … That is no longer the question

We’ll we’ve gone and done it – the gayest bar in Luton is getting radical with a splash of pink ahead of Friday and Saturday’s RELAUNCH @ The Cali.
Expect a few surprises in store the next few days as we pull a few cards out from under our sleeves, The Cali is changing and we’re aiming to make a big impact when we reopen on Thursday.

It’s been a gruelling few days but we’re pleased to say that we are right on track as far as the pub’s revamp is concerned – the entire floor has been sanded down to reveal the amazing floorboards beneath and we’re just about on top with our other cosmetics.

But while we might be like zombies up on ladders painting until midnight, elsewhere word is getting around about the Cali’s big RELAUNCH, with amazing acts Jordan Gray of The Voice performing Friday, July 15 and Adam King and Asifa Lahore performing Saturday, July 16.
Asifa Lahore – Britain’s first out Muslim drag queen – has been interviewed on BBC Three Counties Radio ahead of her appearance here on Saturday. And we ourselves have been delighted with a few positive pieces of press coverage that have come our way. This latest one from Luton on Sunday made us very happy and we hope you’ll take the time to read it.

In the meantime, there will be further updates from us tomorrow as we reveal some twists in The Cali’s new look. Watch this space!
